Taylor John's House is available during the day and some nights (call for availability). We have flexible room rates, depending on the use/event. We have previously rented the venue for photo shoots, birthday parties, fund raising events,training sessions and meetings, album launch parties and band rehearsals.

Taylor John’s House can offer a lot more than just a room, be it a birthday or anniversary we have the facilities to cater for any occasion. Whereas other venues offer just the space, we endeavor to ensure that whatever you choose to do it is a special event for both you and your guests. With a fully licensed bar and in-house catering offered to suit all budgets (see menu choices below) Taylor John’s House has all the facilities you would expect to make sure that your event runs to your exact requirements.
Taylor John’s House is set within the Coal Vaults, in the unique surroundings of Coventry’s Canal Basin. With easy parking and a City Centre location we can be easily reached from all areas of Coventry and beyond. To help ensure that the organiser enjoys the evening just as much as their guests, we can decorate the room, take care of food, organise a band or DJ and we can even put on a guest ale if that’s the tipple of your choice.
The venue itself can hold up to 200 people but with us having separated bar and stage areas even smaller parties would have the feeling of a large gathering. With a combination of both (stage area comes complete with dance floor!) the venue is suitable for all ages ensuring that everyone has a good time!

We can also provide in-house catering, with four different packages to choose from suitable for all budgets. Bands / Music can be arranged on request. If hirers choose to provide their own bands then there will be a £50 charge for the use of a sound engineer.

Our band rehearsal rates are very reasonable and we give discounts for block bookings and solo musicians.  Because we are a music venue the Live Room is a  great 'real feel' place to practice.   Taylor John’s House can also provide you with a great space if you are thinking about recording an album. Studio time can be expensive but at Taylor John’s House we offer great rates in an easy to reach location.
